Beach
Apart from the cliff, in the range of 20 km, you can also find wide and sandy beaches, which are ideal place for the family with kids. Bulgarian beaches are known for their cleanliness. 16 of them were distinguished with Sky-Blue Flag- the prestige badge given to ecological and clean regions. They are well maintained. The Black Sea is calm, mildly salted, and does not have any dangerous fishes. From May till October, the water has an average temperature of 25 Celsius degree. The coastline is gentle and the sea bottom sandy, which makes it perfect for safe and enjoyable sea bath. The beaches are well developed with many shops providing touristy equipment for rent. The Black Sea coastline is perfect for water sports including snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, parachuting, and many more.
Near the Willa Polaka (2.5 km), there is a beautiful beach, Bolota, surrounded by cliffs which hide it from the excessive wind. This beach is perfect for children as the sea bottom is shallow for a long time. At the beach there is a restaurant, where you can relax after long hours of sun and sea bathing.
Cliff coast line, which has its start in Balczik (25 km form Balgarevo), turns into mild beaches going north east- Szabla, Durankulak (46 km form Balgarevo) and further into Romanian resorts of Mamaia and Constance- 80 km from Balgarevo.
In our opinion the best restaurant serving sea food can be found in Szabla. The restaurant is located at the very seashore, and you can find it by asking for “Petka”, an old sea dog- “morski wylk”. Prima.
